Project partner Maynooth University hosted the 10th annual Centre for Ocean Energy Research (COER) Workshop on Friday, 23 January 2026. The event was sponsored by The Marine Institute and Research Ireland’s Centre for Climate, Energy and the Marine (MaREI) and brought together researchers, industry stakeholders, and policymakers to discuss recent advances in wave energy conversion.

The workshop programme included two technical sessions alongside an industry and policy session, covering a broad range of topics relevant to ocean energy development. As in previous years, speakers from academia, industry, and policy organisations across Europe and the United States shared insights on emerging technologies, testing approaches, and pathways to deployment.

As part of the programme, John Ringwood and Carrie Anne Barry, both members of the INFINITY project team, presented work related to the project and contributed to discussions on its technical approach and wider relevance to the wave-energy sector. Their participation helped connect the workshop themes with ongoing INFINITY research activities.
